At No Standing, our expertise lies across cultural awareness, in particular music – with many key stakeholders having an involvement or playing great significance within the space. With that said, we are thrilled to be Spilt Milk’s digital marketing agency to bring back one of the biggest music festivals in Australia after a two-year hiatus. We supported Spilt Milk with various event marketing strategies, helping them sell out nationally in record time.

Spilt Milk’s main goal was to generate awareness and sell out their Pre-Sale and General Admission tickets within the first day of launch. After two long-awaited years, the festival feeling came back in full force, with a dedicated music festival marketing campaign performed by our departments to sell out each day across three states.

Our Challenge: 
With festivals coming back to Australia in 2022, Spilt Milk wanted to grab the attention of their loyal and new festival goers for the first time after two years – reaching a sell out across three states. 

Our Strategy: 
No Standing developed this through multiple campaign launches for the music festival’s social media campaigns which allowed the audience to have their attention grabbed by hype.  

Our Results: 
With the mix of digital ads, email marketing and influencer marketing, sign-ups and purchases reached a record sell out time for Spilt Milk 2022 across Canberra, Ballarat, and the Gold Coast.

 The overall sentiment was positive, requesting influencers to post three deliverables to generate awareness of the event, sign-ups and encourage ticket sales.  

A key component was to include an inclusive and diverse portfolio of influencers across each state, ensuring that the Spilt Milk festival was speaking to a diverse audience at the heart of its mission. Our Brand Partnerships and PR department included Macro and Micro influencers to resonate with a wider audience by tapping into new and previous festival goers.

With a rush of Spilt Milk returning in 2022, ticket buyers were asking questions to gather more insight into this year’s event.

Spread across three states with over 52.9K ticket buyers, we set up a tailored BOT Build customised to the frequently asked questions associated with this year’s event.

It also involved the team responding to inboxes and DMs in real-time, including the Event Announcement, Line-Up Announcement, Pre-Sale, and General Admission Sale.
