To develop an application for bookings in restaurants globally, similar to existing platforms such as OpenTable or Quandoo. We were required to introduce a new mindset focusing on the Japanese word ‘Wabi’ (translation ‘simplicity’), moulding the consumers’ perspective of the application into one of ease, scalability and affordability.
Development of a cut-through platform to compete against high watermark competitors leveraging brand personality and competitor flaws. The end product needed advanced usability and relevance to battle the larger competitors in the space, to provider users and business a compelling reason to adopt the platform.
Developed in less than 5 weeks, our lead designer spent countless hours engaging with the client to ensure that the product was both highly functional and aesthetically pleasing.
